Download it, and start with today's branch
The shell is Tauri 2, so no browser engine is bundled. The app is the only thing you install, and the agent CLIs you already use stay as they are.
Linux x86_64 · AppImage
Download it, make it executable, run it. There is no install step.
- Ubuntu 22.04 or later, or any distribution at least that new
- Secrets kept in the Secret Service — GNOME Keyring and the like
- Updates in the app — it replaces the very file you downloaded
Windows is not here yet. It goes up on this page once there is a code signing certificate for it.
What you need after installing
git, and that is all. If you mean to use an agent, the CLI you already use only has to be on PATH. codeme installs nothing for you.
Updates
The app checks for a new version itself and asks in a banner before taking it. What changed is written down, version by version, in the release notes.
Terms and privacy
The Terms of Use set out what the licence covers, and the Privacy Policy what this app does not send.

Hosts Editor
A Mac app that handles exactly one file: /etc/hosts. No sudo in a terminal — it checks the format as you type, takes a backup before it saves, and tells you when something else has changed the file while you were editing. It makes no network requests.
